Chris Hani

April 10th was the anniversary of the passing away of one of the greatest men that ever lived on this planet - Chris Hani.

Chris Hani was not just a political activist. He was a leader of a generation, not just for South Africans, but for every human being who hates oppression, persecution and obscurantism. To many Hani is the a symbol for hatred towards the caucasian race. The truth cannot be any farther.
He struck terror into the minds of the tyrants. Chris Hani was the part of Umkhonto we Sizwe or MK, the armed resistance wing jointly controlled by the ANC and the South African Communist Party. He was its Chief of Staff till 1990 when it suspended operations.

Twelve years ago, he was gunned down near his home in Boksburg. What the white terrorists did not know was that his legacy could not be destroyed by a few bullets. Eleven years after his assasination, he was selected as the 20th greatest South African of all time.

To quote Samuel Mqhayi, the bard of South Africa:
"What could we have offered as sacrifice?
What is a more fitting offer for a people's sacrifice?
If not the bravest from among their sons The beloved of the nation?"

Comrade, we salute you. You have not died in vain.

The following is his short biography in his own words.
