Thoughts on SuperBowl 39
This is kind of getting jaded. A close game, the Patriots win by 3, the difference is a
Vinateri filed goal. Deja Vu? McNabb simply proved his critics right. He has great football
IQ, but poor passing execution. All his turnovers were badly thrown passes, not bad
decisions. Can he improve? Of course, the guy's 28 and is just peaking. The next 5-6 years he'll dominate the QBs in the league with stats and leadership.
Give Rodney his due. Everybody was praising TO for walking the walk, but Harrison's job in the injury depleted secondary has been extraordinary. He is the best safety in the league, period. I don't understand why was overlooked in the pro-bowl voting. His tackle numbers are almost double the league average. The only reason he doesn't have more interceptions is because of a man who they call Teddy Bruschi who has the previlege of standing a few yards in front of him on the field. Sure, Rodney brags a lot, but with this kind of performance for the last 3 years, he ought to.
Two young players to watch out for at the safety position - Troy Polamalu (Pittsburgh), and Roy Williams (Dallas).
I think Charlie Weis will be missed more than Romeo Crenell by the New England Coaching
staff.
This was the worst half time show ever. Mcartney learned in the most painful way that he was terribly out of vougue. The people who were paid by Fox to dance near the stage were actually wearing headphones and were proabably lsitening to Chingy on their iPods. I mean, how dumb can you be to have teens and 20 somethings, wearing FUBU and Baby phat to rock to 'Hey Jude'?
Eric Clapton would have been my choice, but hey, I'm an old fashioned guy!. Again he would have created controversy with 'Cocaine'.
